The value of an electronic meal ticket or electronic meal voucher can be up to 15.09 lei / day worked. On the meal card, the employee will receive once a month the entire amount. If one month has 21 working days and the employer offers vouchers of 15,09 lei / day worked, then the employee will be paid 315 lei on the card, if he or she worked during all those 21 days.

Any employer can offer meal vouchers to employees by using the services of a company specialized in providing benefits, such as Sodexo.

Gusto Pass system comprises the following stakeholders: the client (your company), the employees / beneficiaries, the acceptance network, Sodexo, MasterCard and the acquiring bank. The company concludes a partnership with Sodexo, with Sodexo taking care of the cards’ loading every month.

Employers can give a meal ticket every day, so within a month there can be given up to 23 tickets. Meal vouchers are not offered on legal holidays or days when the employee was on vacation.

The validity of the meal vouchers on the meal card is 1 year. Amounts of meal vouchers loaded until November 1st will expire from the total balance on the card if they are not spent until Dec 31st at 23:59.
Employees can view at any time what the balance of their card is and what amount they have to spend before the expiration, by accessing the main page of the Card Sodexo Romania mobile application or on the www.cardsodexo.ro platform.
